14 DAY TRIAL // Before she was a reality star who turned her marriage to Hank Baskett into a most profitable “business,” Kendra Wilkinson was a Playboy Bunny and one of Hugh Hefner’s 3 regular girlfriends. Of course, at the time, The Hef still kept them around in threes, having not even met current wife Crystal Harris.
With her marriage still in shambles (allegedly), Kendra flew to the Australian jungle where she’s appearing on the hit series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. The other night, she took questions from fellow stars about her relationship to Hefner, and she was quite at ease talking about her Playboy arrangements.

How Kendra moved into the Mansion
No matter which way she puts it, Kendra still slept with a man who could have easily been her grandfather – this is the reaction that her latest on-camera admission has generated.
What happens at the Playboy Mansion is a fascinating topic for many still, whether we’re talking about the famous parties or Hefner’s army of beauties, 3 of whom he always kept around as his girlfriends. Again, this was pre-Crystal.
Though many are repulsed by the idea of a man being surrounded by girls so much younger than him, the fascination with the Mansion is completely understandable because it’s painted to the outside world as this magical place where conventions and social norms don’t apply.
Kendra plays into that narrative, saying that she was happy to move there just so she could get out of her cramped apartment. However, she didn’t know there would be physical contact involved: apparently, she was that naïve as to imagine Hefner like some kind of patron to beautiful, young, blonde women.
“He asked me to be one of his girlfriends and I was like, ‘I don’t know what that means but hell yeah I’m there.’ He asked me to be part of the Playboy Mansion and I accepted, of course,” Kendra says.

She makes light of the fact that he was 60 years her senior. Also noticeable is that she can’t decide if she was 18 or 19 at the time she moved into the Mansion, but really, whether she was 1 year older or not really doesn’t make much of a difference.
Faced with her co-stars’ shocked reaction and perhaps anticipating what they might say about Hefner manipulating her and using her, Kendra is quick to add that, once she moved in, she wasn’t “obligated” to sleep with Hefner, no other girl was. They all did it because they wanted to.
According to Kendra, The Hef really considers all the girls he accommodates in the Mansion as “relationships” and he actually takes the time with each and every one of them.
That story isn’t new, just like Kendra’s defensive attitude towards Hefner isn’t. If you remember, right after Harris dumped him at the altar and she started talking about their intimate love life to the media in a way that was not at all favorable to the mogul, Kendra went after Crystal, calling her “trash” and a hypocrite.
Not to point any fingers or anything, but Kendra said pretty much the same things as Crystal about sleeping with Hefner, in her book “Sliding Home”: the experience was always short and never pleasant. It always felt like a “chore” that had to be done in exchange for living at the Mansion.
