14 DAY TRIAL // Kendra Wilkinson and husband of 5 years Hank Baskett are done for good. Following a very publicized difficult time, after he was caught cheating on her with transgender model Ava London, and not one but two reality shows documenting all the drama on camera, Kendra is telling the media she’s “single” right now.
Oh, by the way, she’s also shooting for a new reality series, Australia’s hit show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. RumorFix reports that she confirmed the news of the split while on her way to the jungle, to start production on the new show.
Ironically, just days earlier, Kendra was bragging in another interview that she would “never” divorce Hank and that she’d become convinced that they were meant to spend the rest of their life together.
A surprise twist
All signs seemed to promise a happy ending for Kendra and Hank, with reports saying he’d managed to convince her that he never truly cheated on her and that London was just trying to blackmail him. As per his friends, Hank went to London’s house to smoke weed and would have probably cheated on Kendra if he didn’t see that she was a man.
When he did see it, though, he left and refused to make contact with her ever again. Meanwhile, London made public tapes in which he was offering her money to never talk to the press about their rendezvous.
Kendra and Hank allowed cameras to document their attempts to save the marriage for season 3 of Kendra on Top, but they also did Marriage Boot Camp together, the Celebrity edition. On the season finale of the latter, they renewed their wedding vows, and only a short while later, Kendra was shouting from the rooftops (figuratively, obviously) that she and Hank would be together for ever and ever.
That is to say, not once was there any sign that Kendra even considered divorce as an option anymore. If anything, they seemed to be closer than before, which, in turn, prompted a lot of theories about how they had planned the cheating “scandal” just to get more media attention.

How’s that for a surprise? Just when the entire world thought things were going well in the Baskett-Wilkinson household, the former Playboy Bunny is saying that she’s “single for the time being,” the aforementioned e-zine reports.
“That is what I am trying to escape from. I am going to have some thinking time in the jungle. It’s going to be good to be away from all that… I don’t know what I’d do if there is a Tarzan in there who wants to sweep me off my feet. I’m quite picky about men. I do like a British accent though,” Kendra also told reporters and paparazzi at the airport.
She wasn’t wearing her wedding band either, which could be seen as proof that her marriage to Hank really was over.
Another explanation for its absence is that she tossed it into the toilet and flushed it down the drain, along with her engagement ring, when she found out that Hank might have cheated on her, with a transsexual no less.
However, reports claimed that, when they renewed their wedding vows, Hank gave her another engagement ring, so she should have been wearing at least that one. Instead, her finger was bare.
Considering all those theories that the scandal was a PR stunt, do you buy it that Kendra is broken up from Hank now? Or is this another gimmick meant to boost her profile and land her another job after I’m a Celebrity?
