Celebrities rarely, if ever, grow out their hair after a cut, opting instead for the quicker alternative: that of having hairpieces (weaves and extensions) put in. Kelly Rowland, singer and judge on the British X Factor, is no stranger to them, it would appear.

In fact, she loves her hairpieces so much she’s even come up with names for each and every one of them, a new report in the Daily Mail says.

Because the British media has always kept an eye on the female judges on the show, and given that she’s pitted against fellow judge Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly is under some pressure to always come up with interesting looks for each show.

Clearly, she does that with the help of a stylist – but she also counts on her hairpieces, of which she has quite a few.

“Kelly loves her wigs and they allow her to try out a different look. She’s quite affectionate about them and even has names for them,” a source close to the star says for the Mail.

“She’s ordered some more for the live shows so she can do some ‘up-dos’,” the insider further says.

“It’s going to be the battle of the hair with Kelly and Tulisa. Dannii Minogue and Cheryl both looked so different, but Tulisa and Kelly have long manes,” the spy explains.

Speaking of Dannii and Cheryl, the former judges on the show, who were constantly pitted against each other in the style stakes, Kelly once said that she’s not out to compete with Tulisa, of whom she has only wonderful things to say.

Kelly also believes that, because she travels with a huge entourage, people got the wrong impression of her, labeling her a diva without just cause.

“People call me a diva because of my entourage. I have two stylists, a make-up artist, an assistant and a publicist. But it’s just because I’m far from home,” she once said, as cited by the same publication.
