Lyrics about former Destiny’s Child mate Beyonce strike a chord with Kelly

Kelly Rowland’s new single “Dirty Laundry” is the first to mention the Destiny’s Child split and her former mate Beyonce, and the events surrounding it. As such, it’s no wonder Kelly is still emotional when thinking about them.

During a Washington D.C. show, Kelly became so overwhelmed during the performance that she actually had to cut it short to take a breather and recompose herself.

Check it out in the video above, but *please note that some discretion is advised because of language that might offend.

“He pulled me out, he said, ‘Don’t nobody love you but me / Not your mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey’ / He turned me against my sister / I missed ya,” Kelly sang – and then broke down.

Whatever pain she’s been through because of the abusive relationship “Dirty Laundry” describes in detail and because of how it managed to tear her and Beyonce apart, at least Kelly knows she will always have her fans to support her.

Just listen to them cheering her on.
