Kelly Osbourne, who has led a very public fight against the extra pounds ever since she first broke into the spotlight, is now looking better than ever and, clearly, having a blast, what with being asked to model for Naomi Campbell at Fashion Week. The reality star has lost a lot of weight and can boast an improved body image – and all that was possible by changing her eating habits.

Speaking with Life&Style magazine about the drastic improvement to her figure and how it became possible, Kelly reveals it all started when she agreed to appear in Dancing With the Stars, which pushed her weight loss into high gear, as they say. However, since then, she continued to lose weight and that was possible by means of changing her eating habits, as Kelly herself reveals.

“I’ve completely changed the way I eat since doing Dancing With the Stars. A trick I’ve learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going. They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I’ve found just having a tiny little snack – like half an apple or something like that – before you go to sleep really helps,” Kelly says for the aforementioned publication.

This isn’t the first time that Kelly talks about the weight she’s lost and how much good this has done to her body image and self esteem. As noted above, it started when she had to spend a few hours every day in the dance studio, rehearing the dances for the televised competition. Almost at the same time, she also started eating healthier and, later on, discovered the many benefits of Pilates. All these combined helped her get the toned and slim figure she’s now showing off at Fashion Week in designs she would not have dreamed of wearing a while back.

“I’m a size 8 now since losing more than a stone from all the dance training. I’ve been that small before, but it was when I was taking drugs and was really unhealthy. Now I’m so fit and even my skin looks better – I think it’s from all the sweating! I’m not loving my upper arms to be honest – I think I’ll start doing some weights to tone them up,” Kelly was saying a while back, when she was still a contestant on DWTS.
