Star stops by GMA on ABC to promote new Disney project, plays it coy

Kelly Osbourne has a new tattoo and she’s basking in the attention she’s been receiving after she made it public on social media. Given her already impressive collection of ink, this new one is in a more special place, about the most special you can think of without going R-rated: on the side of her scalp.

It reads simply “Stories…” and, according to Kelly herself, it’s not just for show: it actually means something for her. Far be it from anyone to think she was doing it for attention.

Kelly stopped by ABC’s Good Morning America a few hours ago, to promote the new Disney animated series “The 7D,” on which she voices villain “Hildy.”

Before you think that it’s too much of a coincidence that she got inked the weekend before a premiere, and that she did it only for attention, don’t: Kelly insists that it was all because this was what felt right at the moment.

Unfortunately, she’s not yet ready to reveal to the world what the new ink means, so we’ll just have to take her word for it for the time being.

“There is a story behind it, but I can't tell it yet. But it has a lot of meaning to me and, put it this way, my mom is not very happy. But the hair will grow and you won't see it,” she says. Video of the interview is available below.

Kelly doesn’t like sticking to the same look for too long, which is why she’s now rocking that mohawk with the sides shaved off completely. Then again, she’s been sporting lavender hair for many months now so, clearly, she loves change but not that much.

“I don't want to wake up every day and look the same. I'm the kind of person that will go out of their way to purposely make themselves look different,” she continues.

The reason Kelly is getting so much media attention right now is because, even with the most tattooed female stars out there (here’s looking at you, Rihanna), she’s probably the first to get the ink on her scalp.

She will probably come to regret her decision, which seems a pattern with her. As you probably know, Kelly has a lot of tattoos, many of them in more visible places than her scalp, including on her feet and her forearms.

In October 2010, she admitted that she was having several of them lasered off because she was embarrassed by them and she spoke of how painful the removal procedure was. Still, here she is getting another one.
