14 DAY TRIAL // Television star Kelly Osbourne has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a seizure during a taping of E!’s Fashion Police show. It only lasted for about 30 seconds but doctors have decided to keep her overnight under observation.
For the time being, the exact nature of the seizure is unknown.
While TMZ calls the episode a “seizure,” other media outlets and even Kelly’s publicist say that she only fainted.
The only thing certain is that Kelly was definitely not feeling well as she started taping the show.
“Kelly was sitting in a chair, shooting the show in front of a full studio audience. Melissa Rivers was sitting next to her, filling in for Giuliana Rancic,” TMZ writes.
“Kelly turned to Melissa and said, ‘I don't feel good,’ and then she fell out of the chair and started shaking. Melissa then turned Kelly's head to help her. Someone from the audience – some kind of emergency responder – then ran up and helped,” says the same media outlet.
Medics arrived on the scene and took Kelly to the hospital on a gurney, shielding her from the paparazzi with a sheet, which even covered her face.
TMZ claims to have it on good authority that this is the first seizure of the kind Kelly ever had.
In a statement to E!, Osbourne’s publicist confirms she’s in the hospital but says her condition is nothing for her fans to worry about.
“Kelly Osbourne fainted on the set of E!'s Fashion Police today. She was taken to a local hospital for further testing and is awake, alert and in stable condition. She will be staying overnight for observation as a precautionary measure. There are no further details at this time,” the statement reads.
