The "chariot-like" transporter is eco-friendly

Just when I thought that there is nothing more relaxing than strolling in the park on a trendy Segway machine, with my Bluetooth headset on and my Favorite Mika song playing, I see this! It looks like a tuned Segway, or even better, as if someone had taken a motorbike and cut it in two pieces. It must be because of the bloody red color that makes it even scarier.

It looks cool, there is no doubt about that. And if I say that this electric chariot actually won a BrandNew Award, you might actually start to google it.

Just to make an idea about it, you should know that the ispo BranNew is one of the recognized competitions for the sports industry and also an useful barometer for all the upcoming trends in the field. This impressive device is called Easy Glider, possibly after the easy Rider? Who cares when it looks so good. And there is more about it.

The X6 version has a top speed of around 12 MPH, a range of around 9 to 16 miles depending on surface conditions and takes between six to eight hours to recharge completely.

How does it work? It features an electronic motor attached to a wheel, which is also attached to a handlebar. The Swiss-made Easy-Glieder Deluxe is working with 380 watts of eco-friendly power. And the amazing thing is that it's capable of recharging itself while cruising downhill.

Unfortunately, this wacky mode of personal transport requires approval for use in Switzerland and a license plate if you want to tale on traffic. But wait to see what it can do there!

What's that? Yes, there are chances to be priced way out our budgets, but I still want one. Just as you know, the Easy Rider sports a price tag of around $1025 for a standard version to 1.400 bucks for a customized version.

And with so many crowded cities, expect to see one of those rolling near you, and way in front of you, while you're waiting for the green light.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
