They call her a very hot and younger variant of Lady Gaga, a pop star who has the same, if not bigger, chances of writing music history with her upcoming releases. So far, Ke$ha has managed to take down Susan Boyle in the US charts, the Scottish singer who moved 8 million copies of her debut album worldwide in just two months. In a recent interview with Us Magazine, Ke$ha says her music is meant to be fun and nothing more, and the strange habits she has at times.

For starters, the star reveals she was born during a party her mom threw to celebrate, ironically, her upcoming birth. Since she was fine, Ke$ha says, they only had to take her mother to the hospital, so she was left in the care of a very good friend and had to keep the party going, as she puts it jokingly. A true entertainer from day one, the singer says of herself.

It’s precisely this attitude that is getting Ke$ha noticed the moment she walks into a room, as well as one of the many things that is making the media fall head over heels in love with her. She could get it from her mother, the woman who took her daughter’s placenta and made it into something she could wear around her neck. “She’s a bad[expletive]. The only thing I asked for for Christmas is... my mom found my placenta and she crushed it up in a blender and made it into a necklace that I wear everyday. It’s supposed to make me psychic,” Ke$ha explains.

In the same interview, the “TiK ToK” hitmaker also opens up about her celebrity connections, of which she likes to brag in a very matter of fact manner but would never dream of capitalizing. For instance, she used to hang out with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, even throwing up once in the former’s closet. They are not friends, though, because they have nothing in common. As per her own admission, Ke$ha also broke into Prince’s house once to convince him to give a listen to one of her demos.

Speaking of music, Ke$ha says her ultimate goal is to make people dance – nothing more and nothing less. “I write about everything. I write about guys I’m stalking, and I definitely write about partying just because I wrote this record in a period of my life where I was focusing on experiencing stuff and writing about it. […] [My sound is] not pretentious, it’s not too serious, it’s just fun. When there’s a recession and times can be hard, dancing is free. I want to make people dance,” she explains.
