Following the EU's officially making it illegal for cosmetic companies to test the products they manufacture and market on animals, Ke$ha hopes that other nations worldwide will also agree to put an end to this practice as soon as possible.

In order to help spread the message regarding how important it is for cosmetics to be cruelty free, the celebrity wrote an open letter and posted it online.

As Ecorazzi reports, Ke$ha's letter on animal cruelty and the cosmetics industry reads as follows:

“Animal testing is ugly—period. There can be no better time than this for the cosmetics industry to walk away from animal testing; no better moment than now, when the world’s largest cosmetics market has refused to sell cruelly-produced products.”

Furthermore, “Animal testing is ugly—period. There can be no better time than this for the cosmetics industry to walk away from animal testing; no better moment than now, when the world’s largest cosmetics market has refused to sell cruelly-produced products.”

It is the singer's hope that her letter will be read by those in charge of running cosmetic companies that still test their products on animals, and that her words will convince them to embrace a more animal-friendly working agenda.
