14 DAY TRIAL // Either Ke$ha is trying to make headlines by attempting to take down Britney Spears, or she really doesn’t care about the backlash she can get from the fans, it is being said. After saying in an interview Spears is no “artist” (as opposed to herself, presumably), a new song from Ke$ha reveals another diss, as AceShowbiz and the video below can confirm.
The track is called “Styrofoam” but it did not make the cut on Ke$ha’s debut album, “Animal.” In it, the rebellious pop star is on a mission to prove that nothing in this life is permanent, because people and things will change. Halfway through it, she says in ten years from now, no one will know the name of the guy with the bling – and then proceeds to suggest the same will happen to Britney Spears as well in what is already being dubbed a blow below the belt on her part.
“After slamming Britney Spears in an interview over her lip-sync performances, Ke$ha is once again overheard blasting the ‘Circus’ singer. This time around, the ‘Blah Blah Blah’ hitmaker is dissing Britney in a song called ‘Styrofoam.’ ‘In 10 years, Britney Spears... Britney, who?,’ so the lyrics which take aim at the pop singer heard at around 2:15 mark. ‘Styrofoam’ reportedly is an unreleased song which was leaked from Ke$ha’s ‘Animal’ recording session,” AceShowbiz writes.
Of course, this begs the question: assuming people won’t know who Britney Spears is in ten years, despite the fact that she’s been releasing hit after hit for so many years and is undeniably the best-selling female pop artist of her age, will the world remember Ke$ha’s name? Not really, most fans are inclined to believe, especially not when she’s trying to make a name for herself at Spears’ expense, a belief also shared by the latter’s former manager and best friend, Sam Lutfi.
“Don’t try to knock Britney Spears to try to make headlines. Might as well just shave your head and hang out with me for the week,” Lutfi tweeted in response to Ke$ha’s public diss of Britney Spears. Below is the leaked song, “Styrofoam”: listen to it and see what you make of it.
