14 DAY TRIAL // Day 178, Katy Perry is still single (not really, but it's still been a long time since she's been in a relationship). We're talking about one of the biggest names in pop music today, a beautiful, young, talented and successful woman who is somehow still mysteriously single. And it's not like she's not attracted to men, Katy just can't seem to land a decent guy.
After breaking up with singer John Mayer in February, Katy has been linked by the press to a slew of men, both famous and regular, but none of them turned out to be the real deal. Most recently, Katy was believed to be involved in a relationship with music producer DJ Diplo.
After it was proven that they weren't seeing each other, or at least not anymore, today, we're getting some conflicting information in the form of photos. You see, at the moment, Katy is taking a break from her successful Prismatic world Tour and she's enjoying a holiday in a tropical location.
She provided proof she was enjoying herself and relaxing by posting selfies on Instagram, in which she can be seen in a bathing suit, in a hammock with palm trees surrounding her. The photo was captioned “Swaying on the hammock under mango trees, fresh freckles on my face, everything irie (sic).”
So far, nothing out of the ordinary here, just one exhausted singer taking some time off from her busy schedule of performances. The only trouble was that Diplo posted a similar photo in a very similar looking hammock on his own Instagram.
Many were quick to point out the similarity, which caused the producer to later delete the photo, to avoid the controversy. Too late though, people are now already speculating that Diplo and Katy are an item again, after it was reported that things fizzled out between them since they first hooked up at the Coachella Music festival.
Between the festival in April and the reports that they were done which came in May, the pair had little under a month to get to know each other, and it really looks like they're still at it, trying to make it work.
They still have time though, since Katy isn't supposed to get back to touring until June 22. By that time, let's hope that they'll have the courage to come out and post a photo of the two of them together on the beach.
