14 DAY TRIAL // Katy Perry is opening up to Elle UK about her so-called romance with Robert Pattinson and, as a new quote just released confirms, she insists that they never dated – and never will.
Moreover, upset that they were linked romantically in the press, Katy offers what she considers irrefutable proof that they were never more than good friends.
“OK, so here’s the proof there was never anything going on with me and Robert Pattinson. I fart in front of him. Properly fart,” she tells the magazine.
“And I never, ever fart in front of a man I am dating. That’s a rule. He’s my bud, I’m like his big sister. We just hang out. The other day, I said: ‘One of the things I’m most proud of is not sleeping with you, Robert.’ And that’s true,” the pop star continues.
In the same interview, as we also reported yesterday, Katy revealed that she even sent Kristen Stewart, Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend, a text right after rumors of the “affair” started making the rounds.
Katy was friends with both “Twilight” stars and, with the text message, she wanted to make sure Kristen would not fall for the vicious rumors printed in the tabs and written in the blogosphere.
“I sent her a text message saying: ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of [breasts]’,” she revealed.
Katy was said to be dating Robert right after he broke up with Kristen on his birthday.
Last year, Kristen was publicly shamed when a glossy ran photos of her making out with Rupert Sanders, the married director of “Snow White and the Huntsman,” when she was still with Robert.
They broke up for a while but got back together and tried to make it work, but never quite managed to do so.
