14 DAY TRIAL // You can add a new title to Katy Perry's extensive resume. Apart from being a pop singer, humanitarian, song writer and music producer, Katy is now also a label owner, having just started her own music label which she called Metamorphosis Music.
In fact, the “Roar” singer has already signed her first act, a male singer by the name of Ferras Alqaisi, who also doubles as a songwriter himself. The new label was created in collaboration with her current music label, Capitol, which is apparently branching out.
The announcement was made by the singer herself on Twitter, “I am so ECSTATIC to finally announce my NEW label Metamorphosis Music & my first signing, the incredibly talented & soulful FERRAS! (sic).”
Eager to take her new role as promoter seriously, Katy then directed her fans to check out Ferras' new self-titled EP, as well as their joint performances on the Prismatic tour. Meanwhile, Ferras gushed on his own Twitter account, “The secret is out! I've signed to my dear friend @katyperry's new record label Metamorphosis Music...”
He thanked fans for their support and promised to deliver great performances with Katy on stage as part of her on-going Prismatic Tour: “Thanks so much everyone for all your amazing comments and well-wishes! I'm so excited to see u on the #prismaticworldtour in 5 days!”
