The “Roar” singer didn't give out an official statement, but she was seen sporting what could only have been an engagement ring on her finger during an outing with John Mayer on Valentine's Day.
Katy made no attempt to hide the huge golden ring on her wedding finger, as other celebrities have done, making it clear that she's proud of her new fiancé and of the fact that she's getting married.
At the time of the spotting by Daily Mail, the happy couple were seen exiting the Sunset Towers in West Hollywood after a Valentine's Day dinner. Apart from the previously unseen piece of jewelry, Katy also wore a big grin on her face, which could also be an indication that she's officially off the market.
The couple have previously sparked engagement rumors early this year when inside sources claimed Mayer and Perry were already talking wedding plans which included a surprise party in Hawaii for a small number of family members and friends.
At least some of those rumors turned out to be true as John Mayer finally decided to pop the question. His relationship with Katy has been an on-again-off-again kind of affair, but it looks as though these two finally sorted out their differences.
Late last year, the loved-up couple came out with a soapy-cheesy love ballad in the form of a duet, which was called “Who You Love.” The video featured the singers, among other couples, riding a mechanical bull in slow motion as they cuddled up next to each other.
Mayer came in to replace Perry's former boyfriend, British comedian and actor Russell Brand, who also wanted to take the “Dark Horse” hitmaker to the altar. After the breakup, Katy admitted that she wasn't ready for marriage or kids and this was ultimately the reason they broke up.
