14 DAY TRIAL // Talk about your weird couple alert of the month! American pop star Katy Perry is shooting to become a royal from the looks of things, since reports have her interested in newly single Prince Harry, who, apart from his ginger hair, is known for his many love affairs.
The Daily Star claims that Perry, who is currently in England for her Prismatic World Tour and who just yesterday rocked London with a concert, has her eye set on the Prince. In order to grab his attentions, the singer invited the young Prince to hang out with her in Miami.
Not surprisingly, the British Royal, who hasn't said no to a romp with a beautiful, famous woman, is said to be inclined to take her up on her offer. What makes the offer even more enticing and promising is the fact that Katy herself has recently become single.
Up until last week, Katy was linked to DJ Diplo, with whom she is said to have shacked up while at the Coachella Music Festival in April. Just last week, the two were rumored they completed their romance and went their separate ways.
“Katy has always had a thing for Prince Harry. So she decided to be cheeky and invite him to spend American Independence Day with her and friends in July,” a source says. Additional information claims that “The message was sent through a mutual pal, and was very casual. But she has always had a thing for Englishmen...”
That last pat is known to be true. One need only look at Katy Perry's long-lasting platonic friendship with “Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson. Though the press has been keen to set these two up for some time, they have never really confirmed having a thing.
But that hasn't stopped them from hanging out a lot. That only makes the rumors about her and Prince Harry, who split up from Cressida Bonas last month, even more believable.
It may only be a coincidence, but Harry was planning a trip across the Atlantic anyway, as he hoped to catch some of the football matches from the World Cup in Brazil, which is supposed to start in June. Maybe old Harry can mix pleasure with pleasure on this one, after all, it's not such a long flight from Brazil to Miami.
For the sake of argument, we're going to ignore the recent rumors from the British media which claimed that the Prince was already well on his way to winning Cressida Bonas back. These two were pretty hot and heavy right before their split, and were sparking engagement and marriage rumors on a weekly basis.
