Katie Price starts shooting new traveling reality series in the US in September

Katie Price, once known solely as Jordan, is coming back to the US, in yet another attempt to conquer audiences here with her reality show. In a new interview, Price confirms a new show is on the way, one that she likens to the film “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert.”

This is not the first time that Price tries to break the US market, having moved here a couple of years ago, together with then-husband Peter Andre and the children.

This time, though, Katie is going for something different: a show that will reveal her adventurous side and which should come as a much-welcomed change to those who’ve only seen her glamorous one.

“It’s taken nearly a year to set this contract up. We’re thinking of doing the road trip from New York to Los Angeles,” Katie says of the deal she signed with Fox, in a new interview cited by The Sun.

Though she wouldn’t say more, the former glamour model can promise already that the new show will be all about having fun.

“But I want a big Priscilla-style van. You’ve got to make it fun. The cameras will be inside the van. That’s what we’re working on at the moment,” Katie explains.

In only a few short weeks, Price will be packing and moving to the US to start working on the new show.

“I’ll be in America in September and they’re trying to work out what they want to do. I’m not trying to be famous or massive, I’m just doing what I want to do,” she says of what she aims to accomplish with the new reality series.

Price has also considered including some of the footage she shots in the US in her British reality series. This one too will be revamped soon, because she doesn’t want audiences to grow tired of seeing the same thing over and over again.

“I don’t think anyone wants to see me in the hairdressers and getting my nails done all the time,” Katie says.

No air date for the US show has been announced yet.
