14 DAY TRIAL // Although former glamour model Katie Price, once known only as Jordan, previously said that she would not talk about her imminent divorce with the media, she has had a change of heart. Even more, she is using the media as a means to send estranged husband Peter Andre the message that she has come to know she made mistakes but she’s willing to make amends if he takes her back, as British tabloid News of the World can reveal.
The tab managed to speak with the star on the divorce from former pop star Andre, as well as on whether she would be willing to do anything to show she’s sorry. Katie Price has made many mistakes, as she says so herself, but it’s just now that she realizes how much she’s hurt her long-suffering husband. In order to make up for it, Katie promises to “be good” basically, but only granted he agrees to take her back and give their relationship another try.
“I’ll take Pete back tomorrow. I’ll drop the divorce if he gives me another chance.” Katie tells News of the World. In the same statement, the former model and highly successful businesswoman also admits she never even considered her selfish actions hurt Peter so badly – of course, if she had realized it earlier, she probably would have changed her behavior towards him. “If I only I could turn back the clock. I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life and it’s all my own fault. If I’d known I was driving Pete away so badly I would have pulled myself back. I don’t want a divorce, I just want us back as a family again.” Price further explains.
Other British media outlets say that, while Peter is determined never to be reconciled with Katie, he still has not forgotten his manners. On her 31st birthday, for instance, he sent her a text message wishing her all the best, to which Katie reportedly replied with, “Thanks, can we talk? Xxx.” Still, sources close to Peter claim that he’s not budging as he’s determined to break free from the woman who made the last couple of years a living hell.
Katie’s recent statement is just the first in a supposed long line of interviews to come. This Friday, for instance, she’s scheduled to appear on the Jonathan Ross show to speak in detail about the divorce and what life in the Jordan-Andre household was like when the cameras were off. As she’s preparing to do so and given that she seems to have had quite a change of heart about the separation, speculation about this being just a media stunt is building up.
