“It wasn’t natural causes,” Katherine Jackson says of Michael’s death

Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, has finally broken her silence on the death of the King of Pop by doing a telephone interview on Geraldo at Large, as People magazine can confirm. She too, like the other members of the family who have addressed the issue publicly, believes foul play was the case, since the singer’s passing at such an early age is too suspicious to have been “natural.”

Ever since Michael passed away, presumably from an overdose on Propofol, a powerful anesthetic that he was having administered for his sleep problem, Katherine has kept mum on the topic. So far, only sister La Toya and father Joe have shared their belief with the media that the doctors on Michael’s payroll must have played an important part in his death, in the sense that they enabled and fed his drug addiction until he was at their beck and call. Now, Katherine too says she believes the same, although she doesn’t go into specifics.

“All I know is that my son is dead, and I don’t think he just died of natural causes or whatever. He’s too young for that. Something happened, I don’t know what it was and I can’t say.” Katherine Jackson says in the interview. At the same time, she denies that Joe Jackson is not a part of the life of Michael’s children, saying that the feud between her, Michael and Joe was entirely made up by the media more than 30 years ago. Joe is a great grandfather and she still keeps in contact with him, Katherine explains.

“I don’t know why they’re saying he’s not being allowed in the house. My husband’s never done nothing of the sort that they trying to say he did 39 years ago. I don’t understand that, and I just believe it’s something that they cooked up. The children are doing fine.” Michael’s mother adds. When pressed for more details, Katherine backs out, saying she’s still having a hard time coping with the death of her son and, even if she weren’t, there still are some things she’s in no position to comment on at this point in time.

As we also reported the other day, Katherine Jackson has been awarded full, permanent custody of Michael’s children, with former wife Debbie Rowe being awarded visitation rights to Prince Michael and Paris. Rowe also got to keep parental rights over the two children she had with Michael, and also asked for a child psychologist to be present on some visits to help the kids cope with the changes in their life and, of course, the death of their father.
