14 DAY TRIAL // Snooki’s motto in life is GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry), but she does have higher aspirations than that. She adores Kate Winslet and wants to be an actress but the problem is, according to reports, that Kate doesn’t even know what “a Snooki” is.
The latest print issue of the National Enquirer (story via Celeb Slam) claims that Snooki is dying to become an actress.
She considers Emmy and Oscar-winning Kate her role model and she probably believed that her celebrity status would be enough to strike up a conversation with Miss Winslet.
“Snooki idolizes Kate – Titanic is her favorite movie of all time. When Snooki lost 30 pounds earlier this year, she said Kate was her inspiration, since Kate herself lost weight but kept a curvy figure,” a friend of the reality star says.
She also believed that being friends with Kate would help her land her first movie role faster – and perhaps also launch a movie career.
“The 23-year-old reality show star has marketed her image and done very well for herself with paid promotional appearances, but sources confide that her real dream is to become an actress,” the Enquirer writes.
So, she had her management contact Kate’s, in the hope of arranging a meeting or something.
“Snooki would love to buddy up with Kate to get help with the process,” says the insider.
Kate’s reaction to Snooki’s message was priceless, to put it best.
“Kate was told, but she just stared blankly and said, ‘What’s a Snooki?’” the same spy further says.
No word on how Snooki took the news that Kate didn’t even know she was a real person and not a thing.
It’s not uncommon though to film stars from across the pond not to be familiar with names that make the headlines in the US on a daily basis.
Daniel Radcliffe, for instance, was asked a while back what he thought of Justin Bieber and he admitted that, the first time he heard one of his songs, he thought a woman was singing.
