Sources say she is set to make her debut in Hollywood soon enough

Showbiz is not a stranger to crossovers, be them from music to film or the other way around. Still, few are the cases that have actually been as successful in the second career choice as in the first, which often prompts the media to take such attempts with a grain of salt, to say the least. The latest to change lanes is model Kate Moss, who is now said to be looking for a job in Hollywood, where she will be making her acting debut.

The closest thing that Kate got to acting, one might as well add, is when she shot a couple of artsy short films for the Agent Provocateur lingerie giant, where she worked under the guidance of Michael Figgis. It is Figgis that will also reportedly help Kate land an acting job and thus move on with her life, now that her age no longer allows her to get as many contracts as she used to back in her heyday, sources tell the British media.

“She’s always had dreams of acting. Kate’s nervous but feels, with the right backing, she can make the transition from supermodel to Hollywood star. Figgis and Kate have been discussing possible projects and he is helping her work with the right people.” people who are reportedly up-to-date with everything in the model’s life reveal to the media. However, she will not hang up her stilettos just yet, they add, since she’s not yet ready to leave the fashion industry for good. “Kate will combine her two careers. She won’t give up modeling.” the same sources explain.

So far, no confirmation on this has been made yet. However, truth be told, this is not the first time that word on Kate looking to change careers gets out in the press. Back when she was still dating troubled rocker Pete Doherty of The Babyshambles, and especially after the two recorded a duet together, sources were saying that she was seriously considering making music on her own. As we can see, nothing came out of that rumor, so, whether we’ll be seeing Kate Moss in a feature film anytime soon is still to be determined.
