It's not exactly the best month for the supermodel's career

Kate Moss has definitely proved to the world that she knows how to make a great comeback. The supermodel and trendsetter almost saw her career plummet after she was caught on tape doing cocaine - however, years of being many acclaimed designers' darling muse paid off and Kate returned to the world of high fashion with no other symptoms except a bruised ego. However, this summer is definitely not the best time for Kate's career. Yesterday, it was announced that Moss had been replaced as the face and body of British lingerie firm Agent Provocateur - today, it was made official that the supermodel has also been replaced as the "face" of YSL.

As the French fashion house mourns the loss of its founder, who passed away two days ago in his Paris home, it has also announced that Kate's promotional duties will be taken over by none other than Naomi Campbell, who has been unveiled as the new face of Yves Saint Laurent. In a somewhat bitter coincidence, Campbell's appointment came very soon after the short-tempered model was charged with six offenses for attacking police officers as she was boarding a British Airways fight in London - just as Moss was given the vote of confidence by YSL after her very public cocaine scandal.

As for Campbell's legal troubles, YSL swore they would stand by her. "I'm blessed and grateful to be working with YSL again - a house that gave me a start in my career", Campbell stated. "Naomi shot the latest campaign in the label's studio on Avenue George V in Paris [...]. The advert has a similar feel to the recent ad Kate Moss did for YSL. It has a very arty feel and Naomi proves she can still look as stunning as ever", a fashion insider revealed to the Daily Mail. Insiders also claim that Kate doesn't hate her pal Naomi for replacing her. Which makes her either very wise or mortally afraid of Campbell's notorious phone-throwing habits.
