The British media is getting restless as Kate Middleton is said to have recovered from her bout with extreme morning sickness that has put her out of action for several weeks and is ready to resume her official engagements.

The reason for their restlessness is the fact that they hope to catch and photograph the baby bump which should be showing by now if we are to believe reports from last month that said she was around 10 weeks pregnant.

Kate is expected to come out in public on October 21

Kate has been suffering from the same extreme morning sickness syndrome which affects roughly 2% of pregnant women and which was so debilitating in her case that she was forced to cancel all public appearances in the last couple of months.

The Mirror claims that the Duchess is on the mend and that she's well enough to begin making public appearances again. She is expected to join Prince William in welcoming the President of Singapore and his wife to the UK in a ceremony on October 21.

Previously, Kate tried her best to get back on her feet and had the Palace issue a formal announcement that she was getting back to her duties in September, but it turned out that she spoke too soon and was forced to cancel yet again.

Let's hope that this time around, she will be able to attend. She must be 12 weeks pregnant by now, according to the latest speculations, maybe even further along, which means that the baby bump should be showing. Especially when you take into consideration the fact that rumors from the palace claim she's pregnant with twins.

The public and the media hope to catch a glimpse of her baby bump

A source told the British tabloid that “The Duchess very much hopes to be able to undertake this engagement, but as with all recent engagements her attendance will be reviewed closer to the time, depending on her health.”

Kate and William are expected to travel by car to Horse Guards Parade with the President of Singapore and then join the Queen and Prince Phillip for a carriage procession down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace for a private lunch, and then, finally, they will apparently visit an exhibition of Singaporean items from the Royal Collection.

Kate's last official appearance in public was on August 5, when she visited a poppy exhibition at the Tower of London. The public will surely turn out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the pregnant Duchess, and also the media, looking to bank on a juicy photo opportunity.
