magazine is now confirming the report, citing a very reliable source.
Kate Hudson already has a son with former husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, but she always knew she wanted to have another baby somewhere along the way, the mag says.
Nine months ago, she started dating the British rocker and now that they are expecting, they’re positively thrilled by the idea of starting a family together.
“They couldn’t be more excited. Kate is really happy. She was always excited to have kids again at some point,” the source says for People magazine.
Before People confirmed it, Us Weekly was saying it had it from another source that Kate was with child. That insider claimed the pregnancy had not been planned but was most welcome.
“It was not planned, but they are excited and embracing it,” the insider dished. The idea of giving son Ryder, who is 7 years old, a playdate and someone to look after in a big-brother-type of way was also very thrilling.
“She is happy for Ryder to finally have a brother or sister,” the insider explained.
At the time – meaning, the other day – it was believed at the root of the rumor were a series of shots of Kate and Matt together, with her sporting what looked like a baby bump.
Since the actress is known for the incredible shape she’s always in – complete with an enviable six-pack – the only explanation for the bump was pregnancy.
As of now, a rep for either of the stars has not been immediately available for comment. However, since People has confirmed the story, that Hudson is pregnant is being passed around as a fact, so perhaps an official confirmation is somewhat redundant at this point.
