14 DAY TRIAL // Reality star and mom of 8 Kate Gosselin is reportedly paying the high price of fame: busy with her kids and also very busy with her show, she finds herself sad, lonely and without a single to friend to rely on, claims a new report.
Radar Online has spoken to a close friend of Kate’s, who vouches for the e-zine that she’s literally the saddest and loneliest person on earth, not having one female friend to confide in and / or spend some time with.
Not that Mrs. Gosselin minds it all that much, says the spy, since she’s determined to make her new reality shows, “Kate Plus 8” (a spinoff of “Jon & Kate Plus 8”) and “A Twist of Kate,” work.
In order to do this, she spends a lot of time in the gym, working out, and in spas and salons pampering herself. The rest of the time left she spends it with her children, which means there’s hardly any left for a personal life.
“The truth is Kate is really sad and lonely with few true friends,” says the spy. In fact, the only real friend Mrs. Goselin has is Steve Neild, who works as a bodyguard for her and who lives in her basement, to offer her around the clock protection.
Admittedly, Kate spends so much time taking care of herself to be in the best shape that there are days when she comes home and simply doesn’t have the energy to play with her kids anymore.
“Even her kids have noticed that their mom is sometimes too tired to play with them when the cameras are not rolling,” says the spy.
“Apart from Steve she does not have many true friends to confide in or just go out and have fun with while she does not have the best relationship with her family either,” the insider explains.
Not even her neighbors want to be around Kate anymore, it is further being said, because she’s perceived as cool and mean.
“They don’t think greatly of her and she is not popular at the local stores, post office or car wash, because she cannot win people over and comes across as cold and aloof,” the spy says.
“Kate has money coming in but nobody to share it with – having her own reality show has come with a price for her but ultimately that was her own choice,” dishes the insider.
