She once said that the man to be able to handle her and her 8 children would have to be Superman. Now, Kate Gosselin admits that, even though she would settle for less, she's growing desperate that she can't meet a man.

As fans of her now-defunct series on TLC must know, Kate shot to fame with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin, on a show initially called “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

After enjoying massive success, the show came to a dead end when, after announcing divorce, Jon turned on Kate and literally barred her from documenting their kids' lives on camera, which prompted the network to push him out of the picture completely.

Since then, Kate has been all alone and it's eventually taking a toll on her, as the video below will confirm.

Kate was recently on Dr. Drew's Lifechangers and, among other things, she also talked about how difficult it is for her to simply go back into the dating game.

No one wants this kind of responsibility, Gosselin says, fighting back tears and obviously failing to.

“I'm too busy. I think a lot of my friends who are being constructive say 'gosh, who are you going to meet that is going to be able to deal with eight kids?',” she tells Dr. Drew.

“My answer is always if they can deal with eight kids in our situation it probably will be the person. It will sort of prove it,” Kate adds.

So far, though, she hasn't met that person and, from where she's looking at it, her odds aren't exactly going up.

However, one thing she'd like to make crystal clear: she's not looking for a wealthy man to provide for her huge family, she doesn't believe it would be fair to him to ask him to do that.

“I mean, I’m so lonely. I clean up the house, put the kids to bed and there I sit. Ideally I would find that person…I don't know if I feel ready for that,” she says.

“I think a lot of people mistake that and think someone is going to come in and help you co-parent eight kids, how do you expect that? I don’t. I mean, I don’t expect someone to come in and financially provide for my kids, I mean, they’re mine, that’s my job. So, just to have somebody there...” Kate explains.
