Crazed mommy thinks paparazzi are her kids

The Gosselin drama has long crossed the boundaries of the TLC reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” or, for that matter, of the tabloids. Just yesterday, for instance, it emerged that their story was used as inspiration for the plot of an upcoming “Law & Order” episode. However, comedy also benefits from Gosselins’ presence, as Kate agreed to do a skit for Jay Leno, where she played herself, of course.

The skit sees Kate going out of the supermarket after grocery shopping, when she’s surrounded by paparazzi from JMZ, a swing at paparazzi agency TMZ, who always have their men out on the streets, looking for stars to snap. To say that it more than manages to capture at least some of the madness that breaks out when Kate is spotted out in public would be an understatement. At one point, one of the paparazzi starts asking the kind of questions paps usually ask, like, “What did you buy?” and such.

However, Kate is not having it: she’s tired and she doesn’t want to have her picture taken, which is exactly when she goes into full meltdown mode, scolding the paps like they were her own children. “Seriously, I am exhausted. Leave me alone. Hey, what did Mommy say? I asked you to stop taking pictures and you continued.” the 34-year-old television star says. She then proceeds to tell one photog to go to his car (since his room is not available, seeing that they are in the middle of a parking lot) and think there about what he’s done.

One by one, Kate takes out all the paparazzi with her mom behavior. The last one standing will not listen to reason and pay heed to what one mate tells him – namely that she’s out of her mind and thinks that everybody is her child – and ends up buckled up in Kate’s van, getting ready to go pick up his other siblings. All in all, a good skit, it is being said. Jay Leno, for one, is ecstatic when comedian Mikey Day announces her, because he “loves her hair,” of which Day says it looks like she fights crime in outer space.

Below is the entire video, with Kate Gosselin’s mommy meltdown skit for Jay Leno. Enjoy.
