Kate Gosselin is often described as one of those women who usually like to play the game by their own rules, no matter how many other people also take part in it. However, whenever she’s talking about what the impeding divorce has done to her life and how all this media exposure has affected her life, she’s bound to burst into tears, as is the case of her latest interview with Natalie Morales for a special TLC airing.

As of now, MSNBC has made available online only a preview of said interview, but it’s clear from the few seconds Kate appears in front of the camera she’s not afraid to let her emotions show on national television. She’s extremely alone and doesn’t know who to trust anymore, therefore she trusts no one, save for a very small group of people of whom she’s certain they wouldn’t go running to the tabloids with the secrets she confides in them.

“We can’t turn life off. You’re viewing our lives; yes, you can turn it off. I can’t turn life off. In the last nine, 10 months, it’s gotten real crazy, and I can’t seem to get away from it. I just want peace for my kids. At this point, I can’t go back.” Kate also reveals in the same interview. She also says the media attention has been too much, both for herself and her children, adding that she never asked for this when she first agreed to do the show. This is also part of the reason why she insisted her children didn’t learn the word “paparazzi,” an endeavor she failed to carry through.

“I signed up for a reality show, I didn’t sign up to be a tabloid staple. If I said I was done and it was enough, it would just be five more covers of why it is that I’m done, and so I would be living that for a period of time essentially with no income, with no job.” Mrs. Gosselin also says. As proof that she never wanted to have her life as tabloid fodder is also the fact that she’s still upset with Jon for selling to the media the story that she was having an affair with her bodyguard, who is actually one of the very few people who she still trusts.

Below is the preview for the TLC special called “Kate: Her Story.”
