Indian OEM Karbonn has just announced the upcoming availability of Titanium X Android smartphone. The handset will soon be offered at major retailers across the country for Rs 18,490 ($300/€220) outright.

According to AndroidOS, this is the second Karbonn smartphone to feature a full HD display, so Android fans looking for this particular trait may want to give this one a try.

The smartphone has been confirmed to arrive with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and is likely to stay on this version until it reaches end of life status.

The Titanium X is the slightly better featured successor of the Titanium S7, which was launched in India last week for Rs 15,000 ($240/€180) off contract.

Aside from Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform that comes packed on the Titanium X, lots of other features and apps have been added such as Intelligent answer mode, Direct Call, Flip to Mute, Shake to Answer and many other.

On the hardware side, Karbonn Titanium X is more than capable as it comes equipped with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz probably provided by MediaTek.

In addition, the smartphone features 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

As mentioned earlier, the Titanium X comes with 5-inch IPS LCD full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display featuring One Glass technology.

On the back, the smartphone boasts an impressive 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front, there’s a 5-megapixel secondary camera.

The bad news is that the Titanium X does not support dual-SIM. Other highlights of the phone include: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS support and NFC (Near Field Communication). It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone is powered by a high-capacity 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery.
