14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian is getting married to Kanye West. The rapper, Kim’s boyfriend and baby-daddy, proposed to her on her 33rd birthday, yesterday, in front of her entire family and all her friends, who had come together for what they assumed would be a regular birthday party.
Kim and Kanye are yet to say anything on this officially but, since the report comes from E! News, we’re assuming it’s legit. E! “owns” the Kardashian brand, being responsible for their launch as the most successful family in reality television.
All Kardashian shows air on E!, which means they’re privy to details of their life few others have access to.
Speaking of access, E! is promising the “full story on the engagement,” which could mean that it will also be featured on the family’s reality series. Or so would fans hope.
“The E! star is engaged to longtime love Kanye West, the rapper popping the question in front of their friends and family at AT&T Park in San Francisco,” says the e-zine. Kanye had reportedly rented out the entire stadium for the event, because he wanted to surprise Kim.
That same night, Kanye attended the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards, where he also held a speech, but that shouldn’t surprise fans: perhaps he had agreed to do the appearance to keep Kim in the dark about his plans of proposing.
“But remember, that's how these kids roll,” E! points out, “with style and spontaneity. It was just last December that baby North's proud papa revealed to an arena full of people in Atlantic City that he and Kim were expecting a child together.”
Reports of an engagement made the rounds before, but they never came from a reliable source. If the above checks out, expect plenty of details, like photos and interviews, from Kim: this media opportunity would be too much not to make the most of it.
