For those that keep a constant eye on the celebrity news, it's become evident that Kanye West has been making the headlines lately with more of what he says during his concerts than with his music. Every appearance the “Yeezus” singer makes on stage seems to spark some sort of controversy since Kanye has a lot of stuff to gripe about.

Kanye must to have picked up on this, because during his concert in Toronto on December 23, he revealed his New Year's resolution, which is to stop making negative comments about other people.

“Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now. ... This might be the last time y'all hear me talk [expletive] for a long time. Might be another like six months. At least. I've decided to completely focus everything in 2014, on new ideas and on creative outlets,” Kanye said to his cheering crowds.

Among the things that West has ranted about were his failed collaboration with Nike, his recent Grammy snub, and another long list of people from politicians, artists or just simple people who crossed his path.

Being as peaceful as he's ever been, Kanye actually said that he was going to focus on the positive “Because I'm not [trying] to be a dude that has all the opportunities in the world and only focuses on the negative, or complains about it.”

The singer's concert performances have been full of angry rants during his recently completed “Yeezus” tour. Whether they were aimed at some unruly fan, his own technical crew, some event in the news or simply something that's been eating him for a while, his outbursts went on for tens of minutes and sometimes he even stopped the show entirely.

With drops in attendance at his concerts, Kanye might be realizing that all the controversy he's been stirring up all over the news is probably hurting his ticket sales. That could be the reason he's deciding on a self-imposed censorship for at least 6 months. That will give him enough time to clear all the controversy he's caused in last year alone.
