Grandparents are notorious for bending over backwards just to make sure that their grandkids get everything they could possibly wish for, regardless of how much money is spent in the process.

TMZ tells us that, this past weekend, Kanye West performed at a wedding in Kazakhstan.

The man who invited him to the event was President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the man who was getting married was the president's grandson, the same source reports.

Word has it that Kanye's performance landed the musician some $3 million (€2.26 million). Yeah, I know, that's quite a lot of money.

But then again, Nursultan Nazarbayev is rumored to be worth billions of dollars, so one can only assume said sum was just pocket change for him.

The wedding took place in Almaty, at the Hotel Royal Tulip.
