No one should be late to their front-row seats

As if being assaulted at the entrance of the fashion show in Paris weren’t enough to ruin their stay there for Paris Week, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got another taste of what it’s like to not have everyone fawn over them when they showed up late to the Lanvin show – and were greeted with loud boos from representatives of the media.

Video of the incident is available below. It also shows Kanye trying to get the booing to stop by dropping the name of the Lanvin designer and suggesting they weren’t technically “late”: everyone else was too early.

They were backstage with the designer

Because of the adjustments being made to the clothes up to the last minute and because sponsors or industry people might show up late, thus holding up the show for everyone else, events of this kind always start late – about 15 to 30 minutes from the hour they’re supposed to start.

From the video, you can tell that, when Kanye and Kim came in, the show hadn’t started yet, so they weren’t really late. Still, members of the media took offense with it, especially since they were seated in the much-coveted first row, and probably thinking they were being rude to the designer through their tardiness, they booed them.

Kanye had the perfect excuse, though. As you can see, he tries to clear the air and explain why they appear to have been late by saying they’d been spending time with the designer backstage. “Alber [Elbaz] asked to see us we're not late, don't boo us. It’s not our fault,” he says.

So, if you will, Kim and Kanye weren’t late: everyone else was early, which made them seem as if they were running late.

As you can see, they even left together at the end.

Paris Fashion Week proved quite the adventure for the Kimye couple

As it happens, this wasn’t the only incident to involve Kim and Kanye (aka Kimye) at the Paris Fashion Week: only the day before they got booed, Kim was nearly tackled to the ground by a known prankster who threw himself at her feet as she was getting out of her car to attend the Balmain show.

Vitalii Sediuk describes himself as a “journalist” from Ukraine but his international fame is due to his celebrity “pranks.” So far, he’s targeted Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, America Ferrera, and even Brad Pitt, all of them on the red carpet at major events.

Because he hit Pitt in the face and knocked his sunglasses off earlier this year, when he tried to “prank” him, he’s been put on probation for 3 years and has received a ban from all red carpet events in Los Angeles.

So he just flew to Paris to try and tackle Kim, who was visibly scared when he almost knocked her over. To make matters even worse, there were about 200 screaming people there so, at least for a few instants, Kim must not have even realized what was happening to her. No wonder she was scared.

Video of that incident is available right under the one where she got booed.
