14 DAY TRIAL // A recent report claimed that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian decided not to sell the photos of their first child, baby girl North West but, as it turns out, the rapper is yet to ditch the idea of having her first photo of her go public on the cover of a huge fashion publication.
In other words, Kanye and Kim won’t sell the pics of North to the glossies or the paparazzi. Instead, Kanye is working overtime to convince Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US, to put her on the cover.
There is only one problem, as Radar Online also notes: even though Wintour has made peace with Kim Kardashian for Kanye’s sake, she still doesn’t want her or anything to do with her in the pages of Vogue, the official fashion bible.
“It’s no secret that Kanye is a huge fan of fashion, Vogue and especially Anna Wintour. But it’s also pretty well-known that Anna is NO fan of Kim or any reality star appearing in the pages of the magazine,” an insider says for the publication.
“Kanye is determined to make sure baby North isn’t photographed by paparazzi then splashed across the world. He knows what he wants — a professional photographer and the cover of Vogue – nothing else. But clearly, trying to persuade Anna is going to be an uphill battle,” adds the spy.
So far, Wintour has had little success in making Kanye understand the futility of his mission and, for this reason in particular, he is still pressing her on the matter.
“While West’s response from Wintour has been ‘non-pulsed’ and ‘less than enthusiastic,’ the Grammy-winning artist isn’t taking no for an answer. He’s compiled the latest magazine statistics that show reality stars on the covers of fashion publications – especially Kim – can make sales go through the roof,” Radar explains.
North was born on June 15 and, despite earlier reports that Kim would probably be debuting her within a couple of weeks in some fancy (and highly lucrative) spread, she’s yet to be seen in public.
