Charlamagne the God is my new idol for calling a spade a spade

Kanye West has been giving out so many interviews these days it’s almost impossible to keep track of them all. However, you should not skip the one embedded below, not if you want to see the rapper getting called out on his many contradictions and high levels of annoyingness.

Kanye was on the Breakfast Club a few hours ago and Charlamagne the God ripped into him shamelessly, calling him out for being a sellout – and for trying to reason it with fancy words –, for being annoying and for basically forgetting why the fans loved him in the first place which, you guessed it, wasn’t because he could talk for hours about how he was a “creative genius.”

Charlamagne, aka my newest idol, stressed that Kanye didn’t have to shout if from rooftops that he was a genius because, in the end, people would notice. He also asked him directly why everything was about the money these days, and how his rant against large corporations went with his signing endorsement deals with the same corporations.

More importantly, the DJ tried (but failed, I think, judging by Kanye’s reaction) to show him that fans loved him for his music and not for professing himself to be a revolutionary whose only “revolution” was his ability to talk so much about himself.

“You do realize that [sneakers] are not why we love you? We love you 'cause of the music, bruh,” he told him, as Kanye squirmed in his seat. He did not realize that.

Check it out.
