File this under Y for “Yeezus” but also for “You can't make this stuff up.” Seems that Kanye's name is very popular these days, and not only for his singing and his antics. After recently having inspired a brand of crypto currency known as the “Coinye West,” now the singer has his very own religion.

A group of anonymous fans decided to go forth and set the foundations to a new religion and church, the “Church of Kanye.” They even set up a website called Yeezianity which lists their dogma, their 5 pillars and even their golden rule.

All who wish to join the new religion must take an anonymous photo of themselves holding up a sign that says “I Believe in Yeezus.” The church insists that all its members hide their face and remain unidentified. Also, they urge its followers not to divulge their faith to anyone.

In the “About” section, they confess that “We could be anyone you know, from your mailman to the mayor of your city. Only a member possesses the ability to identify another member, and all members immediately know every other member once they have entered our Church.”

Although it mostly looks like an elaborate hoax, the religion does seem to take itself and its believers very seriously. It has a creed, an initiation and even a tagline “Best Church of All Time!!!!”

This new faith is poking some clever fun at the fact that Kanye often compares himself with influential people in our history, so it's only a matter of time until he literally compares himself to a god.

The people behind this humorous project had better have one heck of a legal team, because Kanye is known to be fierce about protecting his image. His lawyers managed to bring down the entire “Conye West” project because it was hurting said image.
