No one can – or should – say no to Kanye West, says Kanye West. The rapper just did an interview with 92.3 NOW radio and, among other things, he also talked about how poorly he handles rejection from fashion people, particularly Yves Carcelle, the head of fashion house Louis Vuitton.

This coming from the man who claims to have “invented” leather jogging pants (which, by the way, do exist), hearing him say that he could single-handedly boycott both Louis Vuitton and Gucci doesn’t really shock. It is, however, still funny for being so completely delusional.

“I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don't understand why we need to meet with you,” Kanye says in the interview, as the video below can confirm.

“I said, ‘let me explain to you why you need to meet with me: everybody in New York City right now, don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January.’ Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realize my power,” the rapper says.

Carcelle then agreed to meet with him, presumably because he was scared of Kanye’s threat to boycott LV for, obviously, he would have this kind of “power” as to bring down the entire house. Questionable.

Kanye has been trying to get into fashion for some time now, but his designs were almost always discarded by critics and mocked for being classless, expensive, ugly pieces that no one but himself and his fiancé Kim Kardashian would wear.

Perhaps this would explain why he’s still so frustrated why no one would take him seriously, including Hedi Slimane, former designer for Dior and current creative director for Saint Laurent, whom he blasted in concert for not treating him with proper respect: i.e. for not treating him like a “god.” Seriously.

“He was once a friend of mine, in the time of Christian Dior. […] And Hedi Slimane was a god who didn’t serve no bull[expletive]… But it takes a god to recognize another god. So when he told me you can come to my show, but you can’t come to see Phoebe [Philo] and you can’t come to see Riccardo [Tisci], that was odd. He tried to control me! He tried to tell me where I could go!” Kanye said during one of his usual concert rants the other night, as cited by Page Six.
