Remember when Kanye West pleaded no contest to his misdemeanor battery case? Well, as part of that deal with the court, the singer now has to be processed and entered into police records in order to keep an eye on him.

For those who have had run-ins with the law, you know what that means. For those of you who have managed to stay away from trouble and have maintained a clean record, let us tell you what this implies.

Kanye West had to spent some time at a police station while he was being processed, so he showed up at the LAPD station in Hollywood at 4:40 pm in order to get his mugshot and fingerprints taken, says TMZ. Sadly, the LA police did not release the mugshots.

The procedure is a direct consequence of his no contest plea deal to misdemeanor battery in the photographer assault case at the LAX airport. Earlier this month, West accepted to go on two-year probation, a 24-course anger management therapy session and 250 hours of community service.

In exchange, he is free to walk away from the entire matter, although the victim of the assault has expressed his wish to pursue the matter further and claimed that no amount of financial settlement could deter him from his final goal of seeing the singer in jail.

The only catch of the deal is that now Kanye has to be on his best behavior for the next two years or risk bigger legal troubles. The problem with that is the fact that Kanye has proven himself to be something of a loose cannon.

If you remember, at the beginning of the year, he was involved in a nasty assault and battery case that many people though was going to land him a felony indictment. The incident took place when an unknown man began hurling racial slurs at Kim Kardashian during an outing in Los Angeles.

An irate Kanye jumped to her defense and pummeled the man to the ground in a chiropractor's office, leaving him dazed and confused. The man pressed charges and the police ran an investigation. Just as the D.A.'s office was getting ready to make a formal accusation, Kanye's lawyers settled with the victim, who dropped all charges immediately.

Though the victim wanted to settle for big bucks, it was eventually rumored that the lawyers talked him down to about a quarter of a million dollars to shut up and go away.
