Doesn't get Uwe, Lynch, bans

First things first: we're not talking about a Uwe Boll movie! And now, since everybody is happy, let's see the actual news. Bruce Willis will star in a Kane & Lynch movie which will be directed by Simon Crane and produced by Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter (the same guys behind Hitman).

Bruce Willis will play Kane, according to a Variety report (and, honestly now, he seems perfect for the role!). We're still wondering who's going to be Lynch... and it seems that so do the producers. Anyway... it looks that there are big plans for the movie and we can hardly wait for it to come to life.

Of course, there are few possibly bad things regarding the movie. First of all, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men was not warmly welcome by the public (even though Softpedia still considers it a great third person shooter), partly because of the Gerstman scandal. However, this should not influence the movie in a bad way. Still, Kane and Lynch will be the first movie directed by Simon Crane, even though he has worked as second unit director and stunt coordinator for some of the best recent titles ("Hancock", "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", "Troy" and "X-Men: The Last Stand"). Also, the scriptwriter is Kyle Ward - another first-timer. Even more, it seems that Eidos didn't and will not interfere too much in the production/script writing (and we really don't know whether that is good or bad).

The producers are hoping that shooting will begin by the end of the year, even though they still haven't found the right person for the schizophrenic Lynch (any suggestions? John Malkovich could be a good choice...) Anyway, as we've said before, we are really excited about the prospect of this movie - if done correctly, it could become a real hit. It has a great story, at least.
