Four tasty treats inside

Kane and Lynch aren't the nicest personalities in videogame history. To be frank, they are some of the worst guys you'll get to meet when playing videogames. But that's OK as they provide some relief from the always-predictable Hollywood-like leading men that only want to save the world and crop up in most games.

After launching in November last year to some mixed reviews and at least one high-profile editor firing (hey, these guys take real names and kick real butts even while being pure videogame characters) Kane & Lynch is getting a bit of DLC available later during this month. More specifically, the Dope Bag will be in stores on April 17. And by stores we mean the Microsoft Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store, where the Dope Bag will be a free download.

The bag consists of four maps. Clean Cut is the first map and is centered on an LA construction site that the Russian Mafia uses to conduct its drug dealing business; the second map, named Hooker's Trail, has the players clashing with the Yakuza criminal organization in downtown Tokyo, while Flying High takes players to a drug baron's mansion in the Venezuelan jungle for a little raiding action. The last of the new map is titled Hasta La Vista (where's Arnold to add a good old "Baby") and pops you in Havana with a mission to ambush a military convoy.

All these maps are specifically designed for the Fragile Alliance multiplayer mode of Kane & Lynch. The mode is based on earning loot from a variety of locations defended by computer-controlled enemies. Up to 8 players need to work together to secure as much loot as possible in an allotted timeframe. Sounds pretty standard up to this point, but the fun is just beginning. After the successful heist, the players get the option to jump at each others' throats to get all the money. Only one player can get out on top and win.

So dust off your old game copies and flex your betrayal muscles a little while waiting for the opportunity to download the Dope Bag and back-stab someone. In-game, of course.
