The fifth maintenance release for KDE4

The fifth maintenance version of KDE4 was released last night, as the KDE Community announced. KDE 4.0.5 brings you performance improvements, bug fixes and many updated software and translations for most of its components. KDE 4.0 is already translated into 49 languages and more are coming soon. Let's have a quick look at some of the changes brought by KDE 4.0.5:

■ Dolphin gets its CPU 100% bug fixed, ■ The fish:/ kioslave is now more reliable, ■ The DimInactive and Logout effects were fixed, ■ The Qt 4.4 bugs which affected the form widget painting in KHTML were fixed, ■ Many other Qt 4.4 bugs were fixed.

The next and last maintenance release of KDE4, KDE 4.0.6, will be released at the end of June, and will include more updates and more bugfixes. This summer, KDE 4.1 will become available and will be based on Qt 4.4 with all its performance and functionality improvements.
