14 DAY TRIAL // Robert Downey Jr. threw a massive party / birthday weekend getaway for his wife Susan Downey’s 40th birthday and everyone was invited with their partner / family. Not only did Justin Theroux come alone, but he was also caught getting “affectionate” with a mysterious blonde.
Star magazine writes in its latest print issue (story via CB) that Theroux acted like a single man at the party, even though he and Aniston are still engaged, at least officially. The report comes hot on the heels of another one saying that all wedding plans are on hold “indefinitely” because of their hectic schedules.
For the record, neither Justin nor Jennifer has said anything on the topic yet but, then again, they’re not exactly known for their willingness to talk to the media about their private life.
“The weekend was very family oriented. Because it was a family event, people were stunned to see that Jennifer didn’t attend with Justin,” an insider says of the Downeys’ weekend of festivities.
Another tipster says that, at one point, Justin was seen getting very touchy feely with a woman no one seems able to identify, but who was not Jennifer, most definitely.
“He gave her a friendly kiss and a hug when she walked up, which is normal… but what was abnormal was the fact that they were touchy-feely and stood around with their arms around each other,” the spy says, adding that everyone at the party was surprised he’d act like this when he was supposed to be with Jennifer.
“Justin’s close affection with the blonde was definitely the talk of the party… it didn’t seem like a situation Jen would be happy about,” the insider muses.
The Daily Mail has several blurry photos from the outdoor party that followed the night of the actual party. One of them is tagged as “Famous friends: Gwen [Stefani] stood and chatted with Jennifer Aniston who was dressed all in black for the occasion” but you can’t tell for certain if that’s Jen or not, especially since the party took place after she got her new bob haircut – and the woman in the photo is sporting long hair.
However, if that’s Aniston in the photo, Star is in the wrong with the “mystery blonde” report.
