A teen claiming to be Justin Bieber's best friend has seen his efforts to score free publicity turn against him.

King Kevi, a.k.a. 20-year-old Kevin Pedersen, has asked a court for a restraining order against the singer.

He claims that his attempts at trying to appear friends with Bieber has turned Believers into stalkers.

He adds that he has received numerous death threats from Bieber's fans after the star gave them Kevi's phone number via Twitter on June 13.

The documentation further alleges that the singer deleted the Twitter post immediately after, but by then it was too late, as Bieber's 40 million followers launched themselves on him, calling him and threatening his life.

According to TMZ, King Kevi's claim to fame is pretending to be Bieber's friend after attending parties at his house.

UPI adds that he lied about being a guest at the Calabasas mansion and even living there with the singer, without paying rent.

He has also garnered media attention by editing photos to make it appear as though he was having an affair with Bieber's ex, Selena Gomez.

A TMZ post from April conveys the photos which were made public by Kevi himself. He is shown supposedly exiting Selena's property San Fernando Valley on a Saturday night.

In the photo, he is talking on the phone while appearing to close the gate to the estate. However, CCTV footage taken on the scene showed that Kevi never got inside the house, simply posing for the shot near the gate.

Bieber is denying even knowing who Kevi is, and he claims that he has never posted his number on Twitter.

Kevin's suit asks for the singer to refrain from posting anything about him online and requires that his bodyguards keep a 150-yard (137-meter) distance from him.
