Earlier this year, in March, Justin Bieber and his pet monkey, Mally, parted ways. The latter went to live at a wildlife refuge in northern Germany, and Justin dedicated his life to making music history.

Little did Justin know that his breakup with Mally would end up costing him a hefty sum.

According to Huffington Post, Germany is now asking that the musician pay for the TLC (plus the food and the veterinary care) the Capuchin monkey has received at the Serengeti Park.

All in all, Justin Bieber is expected to cough up some $11,000 (€8,170).

Germany's Federal Agency for Nature Conservation says that, for some time, attorneys have been trying to contact the musician, but to no avail. However, they haven't yet lost hope that they will track him down and convince him to do the right thing.

“As Mr. Bieber should be informed about his payment obligations by now, we hope that he takes his responsibility and settles the costs he has caused to the public, just like anybody else would have to do,” attorney Ellen Frederichs reportedly told the press.

Furthermore, “If Mr. Bieber will not settle his costs, the payment might have to be enforced when he enters Germany again.”

Here's hoping Justin will soon contact German authorities and assume responsibility for Mally.
