The singer didn't agree because he doesn't want to be randomly drug tested

Troubled singer Justin Bieber is turning down Miami prosecutors that are offering him a plea deal in the case of his famous DUI arrest. The Miami officials reached out to his legal team and tried to work out a compromise, but Bieber isn't having any of it.

This kind of bargain is often given to first-time offenders and it basically lets you off the hook in return for a couple of correctional measures that include community service, an alcohol education course and, most of all, random drug testing.

TMZ claims that this is the main reason why Justin is turning down the offer that would have taken him off the hook in the DUI case. It looks as though the singer's lawyers are confident the police don't have a case and they could get him out of trouble without having to undergo drug testing randomly.

They say that the police have made several false claims, such as saying that Justin was drunk driving although he only blew a .014 on the breathalyzer and that he was also drag racing at the time of the arrest, despite the fact that the car's GPS indicated he was doing 27mph (43 km/h) when he was pulled over by police.

Another important aspect in Justin's refusal is the fact that he could go to jail if he tests positive at any of his random drug tests and if the judge feels that he violated his parole.

Finally, the singer isn't too keen on taking an alcohol educational course because he feels that he would become the object of ridicule during the class.

Bieber's camp is said to be open to pleas, but at the moment, they aren't accepting this one.

As you can remember, Justin was pulled over last month by police and subsequently arrested for drag racing and DUI, after he admitted he was on prescription pills and also had been smoking marijuana.
