Justin Bieber likes his cars flashy, customized and, most importantly, fast. Over the weekend, the teen heartthrob was pulled over for going at least 80 mph on the 101 freeway, but got off with just a fine.

TMZ reports that at least 10 people called 911 to report a vehicle waving in and out of traffic at alarming speeds, including LA City Councilman Dennis Zine who, as it happens, worked as an LAPD motor cop for 18 years.

All witnesses told the police that Bieber was driving at least 100 mph at the time he was pulled over, a claim his rep denies, saying he was going only 80.

The paparazzi (see the first video embedded below, at the end of the article) said he was going 120.

After Justin was pulled over and fined for speeding, his rep told the press that the only reason he was driving at such dangerous speeds was because he was trying to lose his paparazzi tail.

“We're told someone from Bieber's security team was a passenger in his car and allowed Justin to put the pedal to the metal. Mind you, Justin was weaving in and out of traffic, baring squeezing in between moving vehicles,” TMZ reports.

“Bieber was being chased by paparazzi, but Zine maintains the 18-year-old jeopardized his life and the lives of others and he should have slowed down and pulled off the freeway,” the same media outlet notes.

Zine spoke to TMZ later (see the second video below), saying that he would have put the singer behind bars, had he been the officer who pulled him over.

What Justin did was incredibly dangerous, both for himself and the other drivers, and such behavior should not be punished by just a fine.

“Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane,” Zine says.

He was one of the 10 people who dialed 911. At the time, he had no idea the flashy silver car speeding was Justin's.

“If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac,” Zine adds.
