Because anything Justin Bieber touches or puts his name on sells like hot cakes, he’s also coming out with a line of nail polish – out in December, just in time for the holidays.

Though this must be the first time that a teenage boy star comes out with such a girlie product, it should probably come as no surprise given that Bieber’s fanbase is mostly made up of girls.

Which is to say, it’s bound to be a hit, word online has it. Designed by Justin himself, the line will arrive in stores thanks to a partnership with Nicole by OPI, including lost of glitter and primary colors.

“Called the One Less Lonely Girl collection, the perfect-for-the-high-school-dance shades are inspired by Bieber hits: One Less Lonely Glitter (lavender), Prized Possession Purple (grape), Give Me The First Dance (silver), Me + Blue (dark blue), OMB! (bright red), and Step 2 the Beat of My Heart (heart-shaped glitter),” the Styleist says.

Initially, the line will only be available at Walmart and is expected to expand to Sears and Target by February, depending on how well it fares with the target public.

As Entertainment Weekly sees it, even if Bieber was actually involved in the designing of the new line, there is something rather ridiculous about the initiative.

While some may hope (not his female fans, of course) that this is Justin’s first prank as the newest star of the rebooted “Punk’d” series, it’s unlikely that be the case.

“This is real, folks – a teenage boy has launched a collection of nail polishes, solely to take financial advantage of his fanbase, which has a voracious appetite for anything emblazoned with his name,” EW writes.

“The polishes will come via well-regarded brand Nicole for OPI and – shocker of all shockers – they’ll be both largely primary colors and filled with glitter!” the same report reads with more than a touch of sarcasm.

“As far as we here at EW can tell, the polishes are intended for little girls, but little boys are welcome to try them, too. (In fact, we here at EW expressly encourage little boys to try them out.)” the e-zine goes on to say.
