Constantly in the spotlight and watched by millions of fans, the last thing Justin Bieber needs is acne – which is why he has officially become the latest spokesperson for Proactiv.

The Biebs is not the first celebrity spokesperson of the product, though he will undoubtedly be the one to boost sales to an unprecedented level.

With a fanbase including millions of teen girls from all over the world, the pop singer is probably the most famous celebrity of his age right now, as Monsters and Critics confirms.

Which only makes him the best choice for Proactiv, one may point out.

Speaking with the media after the deal was signed with the company making the anti-acne treatment, Justin underlined that having impeccable skin was essential to him.

Unfortunately, like many other 16-year-olds, he too had problems with acne, which is where the Proactiv products come in to do the job.

“I know that for a teenager, it doesn’t matter how many people are looking at you, you don’t want acne on your face,” The Biebs says. This is twice more important when you’re a star.

“I’m in the limelight all the time… I’m constantly doing interviews, constantly doing photo shoots and, you know, I’m determined to keep myself clear. Using Proactiv will help that,” the singer adds.

“My fans already know I’m just a regular kid, except the stuff about my life that’s not regular… like performing to thousands of kids and always being in the spotlight,” Bieber further says.

Unlike other celebrities that endorsed have Proactiv in the past (like Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry, and Jennifer Love Hewitt), Bieber reaches out to more teens from various corners of the world.

Moreover, Justin is also more visible and keeps in contact with his fans, through several channels online, like Twitter and Facebook.

This too will undoubtedly make the partnership between Bieber and Proactive more profitable for the exposure it generates for it.

“Justin has millions of fans of all ages and followers online where our consumers spend a lot of their time,” Greg Renker, founder of Gunthy-Renker, which markets Proactiv, says for the aforementioned publication.
