Justin Bieber meets Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne and an older version of himself in the ad that ran during the Super Bowl XLV last night. The ad was for Best Buy and was meant to combine creativity and humor – with “Bieber fever.”

Since there’s probably very little that The Biebs can’t sell given his incredible popularity and appeal (his own range of nail polish, for instance, sold out upon launch), Best Buy got him to appear for them.

As fans must know, an ad during Super Bowl costs around $3 million to air, but it’s safe to say that Best Buy got their money’s worth, especially with a bit of Ozzy thrown in for good measure.

The ad starts with the legendary rocker dressed in a very “TRON”-like suit, looking into the camera and preparing to sell 4G service for Best Buy.

By the time he gets to say his line, though, he has to learn another and it’s becoming clear that he’s overwhelmed by the situation because he’s out of touch.

He’s let go and Bieber steps in. With his trademark confidence, The Biebs says “I’ll take it from here,” and then looks into the camera and adds with a smile, “It’s Bieber 6G fever.”

The camera cuts to Ozzy and wife Sharon, she wondering what a “G6” is, while the rocker can’t quite figure out what “a Bieber” is.

Behind him is a crew member, aging and balding (actually Bieber in disguise), who chimes in, “I don’t know, but it kind of looks like a girl.”

Best Buy says the ad “showcase[s] creativity and humor to millions of football and advertising fans throughout the country.”

“We’re delighted to have Justin and Ozzy help us tell the Best Buy story. We know people have high expectations for these ads, and Justin and Ozzy add a whole new dimension of fun,” Drew Panayiotou, senior vice president of US marketing at Best Buy, says of the unlikely – but fun – collaboration.
