His recent Canadian arrest triggered a new investigation back in the States

Well, that didn't last long, now did it? Just two months ago Justin Bieber managed to avoid jail time by pleading guilty and copping a plea in the February egging assault case, but today he's in a new heap of trouble because of his new Canadian arrest for dangerous driving and assault.

That's because this new offense is a violation of his probation and could very well land him in jail. TMZ reports that the LA County Probation Department has already launched an investigation to see if Justin is really going to go to jail for violating his 2-year probation.

The singer got into trouble with the law again, this time in his native Canada for getting into a physical altercation with a paparazzo, after his ATV collided with the photographer's minivan. This comes into conflict with what Bieber promised the judge to do so that he could stay out of trouble.

But that's hardly the only bad thing he's done since he was put on probation. Justin Bieber was also recorded on video riding his motorcycle on the sidewalk in order to avoid a traffic light, as well as getting into an accident with a paparazzo who was tailing him while he was riding his Ferrari.

It seems that probation officers have 30 days to announce the court of any alleged violation, and then the court will take the proper decision in the case. If the judge decides to revoke Justin's probation, the singer will have to go to jail.

A similar case is that of singer Chris Brown, who found himself spending 108 days in jail for parole violation earlier this year, when he failed to complete a stint in rehab for anger management. So, we know that when celebrities think themselves above the law, a judge won't hesitate to throw the book at them.

Justin was already a target for the LAPD for the egging assault back in February. Cops investigating the case wanted to throw the book at him, but it was the DA who tempered their spirits and prevented them from making an example out of Bieber.

Many thought that Bieber had gotten over his rebellious streak that nearly landed him in jail earlier this year, but it seems that the Canadian pop star still has some unresolved issues, particularly with the paparazzi hounding him.

Not too long ago, Bieber went on a Canadian holiday with his now-confirmed on-again-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, but not even that has managed to keep him out of trouble.
